A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
